The Chinese Dam Project is a research-based interdisciplinary unit that studies biomes, endangered species, taxonomy, and population growth. The students relate these items to the ecosystem that will be directly impacted by the Three Gorges Dam. After the students research the topic they must compare the advantages and disadvantages of this dam and make a final decision about whether the dam should be built.
